Having a work trial section as a in-house designer at a financial company in London. Having a trendy layout with a concept of fast and convenient as the structure for the design. The concept element are based on the racing car that reflect on the service of the company. It's a 2 fold leaflet with the dominant corporate blue colour.

[Design] Paradise Travel Magazine

Paradise Travel Magazine is my another college work. I got the brief from my lecture that I need to develop and design a brand new magazine in the industrial. I found the sources I wanted from another magazines to form the Paradise Travel Magazine. The text were dummy and meaningless for the contents. Above is the mock up that I submitted during the publication class.


Above is part of the magazine's spreads. There are 3 fiction and 3 sub-fiction in the magazine. Main objective of the magazine is to introduce "hot spot" for travellers in Malaysia. In additions, it also shares lastest information, such as hotel, transportation and fashion for the reader's insight.

[Design] Corporate Identity for Alpha Oriental Group

In this project, I'm going to re-brand Alpha Oriental Group and the companies which specialist in franchising amusement machine and entertainment industry in Malaysia. Alpha Oriental group has four major businesses which is manufacture amusement game machines, children amusement theme park, photo sticker machines outlet and karaoke outlet. Each of them has different market segment and target audiences so I have to come out with different marketing plans, corporate identity and promotional tools.






My final outcome in this project will be a redesign version of the company's website. Redesign the website is more important than other works because it is a useful and effective promotional tool to spread the company's information and latest news to public. Furthermore, it is a space to build a long term relationship with its customer and maintain Alpha Oriental group's brand equity. Beside website design, a functional and unique stationary set also an important tool for a strong brand. It shows the unity design and core brand's characteristic for theirs staff and customer. Then, I will design a corporate brochure as a promotional and business tool for audiences who interested to become their franchisees.

[Design] China Film Revolution

Recently, I accepted a freelance job for a Chinese Film Organisation. Objective of the job is to create an image for the Chinese Film Festival 2009 Poster. Unfortunately, I didn't received any deposit and the design fee that they offer is to low so the project has to determined. The image above shows the revolution of China film history. The requirement of the poster is to use the scenes which supplied by the client and apply the taste and style of each revolution period on the photo. After the project became an unborn baby, I had fixed the unfinish rough colour thumb and made it look slightly nicer.

[Design] Billboard Design

The college also provided lesson about billboard design. It's about the theory and requirement to design a good billboard. Billboard doesn't need lots of information and complicated message for viewer. Below is the sample of my works to demonstrating my understanding of billboard design.


One of my three best ideas about promoting Singapore tourism for Malaysian. The concept of this billboard is about much joyfulness and excitement experience that you can find in a tiny country, Singapore.


The second brand I did is promoting Colgate toothpaste helps you build stronger tooth and the relation between the brand and customer are unbreakable, just like a married couple.


Three billboard was promoting the credit card of a Malaysia Bank. The concept tells people not to worry much while travelling with the credit card.

[Design] Samsung Annual Report

Experimental annual report publication design for Samsung company. The concept of this annual report is to express the relationship between the company and their target audience is like a lover. The concept wanted to show that Samsung sincere and friendly serving their customer through the years. The major attraction of this annual report is applying the concept of courtship into every chapter. It is because to entertain and making impression to the reader. To sum up, this annual report helps me gain lots of goodwill from the design industry.

[Design] Butterfly Lover Opera booklet

Butterfly lover is a famous Chinese legendary romance story. In this booklet, I responsible to work out a promotional booklet for the audience of the theater performance. The performances presented by a group of new generation performer and the show has a younger target audiences. Therefore, the tone and manner of the booklet has to be slightly fashionable and trendy.

Entering a local competition on a t-shirt graphic design. Not much concept in each t-shirt design but I'm having fun on apply limited colour on the graphic.

[Design] Censorship

Objective of this artwork is to express the limitation and censorship for a designer to get the job done. The written typo is done by me with the Photoshop software and the photograph is shot by me too.

[Design] Aquaria KLCC Mascot Design

During the working days in The One Academy, I entered a mascot design competition for Aquaria KLCC, Malaysia. The character has won me the third prize which has the opportunity to feed the shark in the aquarium. Unfortunately, I isn't good in swimming so I had give up the prize.

[Design] The Miracle of Revolution

My personal postcard design which promote me as a graphic designer to the industry. It was my diploma graduation project and the postcard was pack with my fellow classmate into a square box. The postcard was giving away during exhibition week. Concept of my postcard: I wish all the employers believe in my revolution and skills that I learned in the collage can help their business grow.

[Design] Malaysia Independence Day Backdrop

Backdrop of Malaysia Independence Day in Sunway Pyramid shopping center is one of my project during my working days in The One Academy. The brief needs me to produce a backdrop that promote Malaysia Independence day and a children craft festival event which held by Da Vinci children drawing center. I did two different version for the client to choose.


Version 1
Wao is a craft that can represent Malaysia art and culture. Therefore, I make it as the core element in the backdrop to spread my client message to the audiences. In addition, others supportive elements such as shadow puppet and Chinese dragon show the multi races in Malaysia.


Version 2
The second version is to express the 49 years on Malaysia renovation and cultural. We have the multi races and different cultural background, yet we are living in a peaceful country.

[Design] Matahari Calendar 2009

"I tried to improve the quality of the photo, not sure what's wrong with the quality of the photo."

Took around 3 hours to draw and colour the bull. First time try on speed painting (although I know 3 hours is quite long). Concept of the calendar is to increase the spirit and royalty of employee and customer to the company. These three parties help each other to achieve all the goals and targets. Golden Bull represent the company's strength and always moving forward in year 2009.


Chinese New Year Card
Furthermore, I'm doing a Chinese New Year Card for the company. The card is in a postcard format and the layout spread the message directly to the customer. Cow Mascot shows the company is friendly and sincere to serve all type of customer. Back side of the postcard has the image of the company outlook and it is for customer easy to recognise and memorize.


The calendar above was the previous year version. 2008 is a golden rat year for the Chinese. Therefore, I drew all the rats in cartoon character style because brilliant colour and funny shape can easy attract audience's attraction. In additions, it also represent energetic and happy atmosphere in the company. The image makes people feel passion and trusted on the quality of the company's products and services.

[Design] Are you addicted tonight?

Most of designers are additing on bad hobbies? Overnight work, coffee and cigarette are killing us softly day by day. I'm not a smoker but I still remember my collage friend shows me how badly is a cigratte destroy her by blowing smoke on a tissue. Coffee costs diabetes; smoking costs lung cancer.
